We reported to the HDB service centre that the shower head holder in our toilet has fell apart, and there's cracks on our walls again on Tuesday night. We have a total of 9 cracks spread over our 3 bedrooms and 1 in the living room. All are long cracks which start from the base of the wall to the ceiling. HDB sent people to come and fixed the shower head holder pretty fast. It's done in like 15 mins. They changed the top part of the stick, which is the broken part and it's nicely done now. The defect which gives us headache is the cracks on the walls. The worker will first scrap the surrounding of the cracks then fill it with putty, and smoothen it. A few hours later, they will come again to apply a second layer. As they need to wait for the putty to dry before they can paint the walls, they will come back again the next day. Last night, while I was bathing, I wanted to take the shower head from the holder. Suddenly... Oh my god! I've only stayed in my new house for 4 months and the chrome looking holder fell apart??!? Okay, I said 'chrome looking' because hubby said the material look like some plastic instead of chrome?!?! Oh! Did I mention that there's hairline cracks on my walls? All the walls in my 3 bedrooms have that. We reported it to the HDB Service Center a few weeks ago and they called and confirmed with us that they will come and rectify the cracks last Sat. But in the end, they did not appear, and no calls, no news from them at all. So hmmm.. I wonder my bedroom toilet will look like this for how long because I dunno when will HDB send people down to rectify it. For the price I'm paying for my HDB flat, I think I'm paying premium price for lousy fittings, lousy materials and lousy warranty service.

Our HDB Eligibility Loan has just been approved on 7th Jan 2014! Hahaha. Exactly on our one year ROM anniversary. Lol. So now, we are anxiously waiting for the date to collect our keys! Yesterday, we spoke to an ID and he told us that they need at least 2 months to renovate our 5-room flat. So that means, no matter what, the house won't be ready before our wedding. :'(

Today I logged into myHDB and saw that the probable completion date of my new BTO was updated from 1st quarter 2014 to end Feb 2014! But I'm not really happy, because I have heard some rumours saying that the keys should be ready in Jan 2014, so I actually expected it to be earlier. Probable completion date end Feb 2014, means I will get my keys maybe 1 month later, which will be end Mar 2014?! My wedding is already over, and we can't move into our house directly after our wedding. Taking into consideration another 2 to 3 months for renovation, it will be May or June 2014. :( Now, we have a even bigger issue which is the Housing Loan. I am not working for the past one year, and I am still not sure whether my previous company still have vacancy for me. An update to the concept of our house. Living Room After reading up more on Feng Shui, I realised there are other remedies for direct alignment of main door and windows. So I decided not to build a 屏风 at my entrance. I will instead use the round dining table and a round ceiling lamp above the dining table to slow down the flow of 'chi' in my house. We will still put a shoe cabinet and a bench near the entrancee. I found these pretty benches sold in  Qoo10 . And the fake ceiling of our living room, I want it to be curvy shape at the corners instead of 90 degrees angle corners, because Feng Shui don't like sharp corners. Lol.. Recently there're a lot of updates about our Seng Kang BTO on the Facebook page. Some have news from reliable sources that we might be able to receive the letter in Dec or Jan. Many of them have already started sourcing for IDs and shopping for furniture. But we, being in Italy, couldn't do any of these. The most that we can do is to surf Courts and Ikea websites to look for furniture ideas and using the Homestyler program to roughly draw out the plan for our house. So here's the 2D image of the rough idea we have for our house. We're keeping the renovation simple and splurge on buying beautiful furniture. Recently when I shop on Qoo10, Groupon, Deal.com etc, I saw many many things I wanna buy for my 乐乐窝! Must blog down before I forget what are the things I wanna buy next time. Yeah! An update to our second application of BTO flat. We got our BTO at Seng Kang! With a lucky queue number: 80. Huat ah! We're going to HDB to pay the deposit today.. Getting poorer.. Woohoo..!

My boyfriend suggested that we should start looking for a BTO (Build-to-order) that we liked since we will have to wait for like 3 years before it will be ready.. HDB launched Compassvale Ancilla in March 2011. It was just beside Buangkok Mrt and we loved that location. I wanted to find a house that is near MRT station so I don't have to change from LRT or walk like 15 or even 20 minutes to get to the station. Yes, we foresee that we might not have the ability to buy a car in future which is very possible. So, we applied for Compassvale Ancilla.. Keeping our fingers crossed.. Hope we will get it..
