It has been a long time since I last did treatment and color to my hair. It's to a stage where I already cannot stand the frizziness, dryness, ugly color of my unkempt hair.
I was thinking of rebonding my hair to straighten my anyhow curl fringe and to solve the frizzy hair problem, but I was afraid that my hair will be too flat and look unnatural. I researched online and came across Mucota Dyna Hair Treatment. After some research, i realised the price of this hair treatment charged by some salon for my hair length could go up to $200+ to $300, and I definitely do not feel like spending this amount of money just for the hair treatment.
While surfing on Groupon one day, i saw this.
$108 for Mucota Dyna Hair Treatment for any hair length. I bought it immediately and arranged for an appointment. Over the phone, the hairdresser told me that the time required for this treatment is around 3 hours.
The lady who attended to me was Celine, she was from Taiwan. She was quite nice and gentle to my hair. She asked if I needed some trimming or a hair cut, but hair cut was not included in the Groupon voucher and I have to top up $34. Errr.. I think that was a tad expensive for trimming off the dry ends only as I wanted to keep my hair length. So I told her I wanted to keep my hair length, and she was cool with that. I like that she was not pushy.
Before I started the treatment, she asked if I wanted to do hair color as my hair color, as you can see from the picture above, has already faded and my black hair has already covered half of my head. I was really tempted to do it la. So I asked how much and how long more will it take. For my hair length, hair color will be at $118 and it will take an additional 1.5 hours.
In the end, I did hair coloring as well and she chose a darker shade of red for me which I really love!
The steps which I gone thru were:
- Shampoo
- Color hair and wait for the color to set on my hair
- Shampoo
- Apply Mucota Treatment cream on hair and wait
- Shampoo with Mucota Shampoo
- Blow dry
- Use hair straightener to straighten the hair
- Apply darker red color to my lower half of the hair as the color was lighter and some treatment cream on my hair and wait
- Shampoo with Mucota Shampoo
- Blow dry
And it was done! I felt my hair and scalp super clean after all the shampooing in the 4 hours in the salon. Celine did tell me that the effect of the Mucota Dyna Hair Treatment will last longer if I bought the Mucota shampoo and use it at home. The Mucota shampoo smells really nice and the texture was soft and smooth too. But err, I think the shampoo was quite expensive, so I told her I do not want it and she was again cool with it. Not pushy, love this!
And so, here's my hair after the treatment.
After 3 weeks from the day of treatment, my hair still looks naturally straight, smooth and not frizzy!! The effect of the hair treatment really lasts. I super love love love Mucota Dyna hair treatment!!
